This pandemic situation has had a positive impact on the education system around the world, where many universities and institutions are adopting online courses and scholarships. And Google is one of them.

Google is giving a great opportunity to students by offering around 100,000 fully funded scholarships for the 2020/2021 session, to gain some additional training and get an online certificate to put a great impression on their CV.

The certificate will be treated as the equivalent of a four-year degree if applying for a related position at Google. The good news is that no specific degree or experience is required, anyone can apply!

Online courses offered by Google are created by Google experts and hosted through Coursera. Students are strongly encouraged to enroll in these online courses, especially during this pandemic situation.

Data Analytics:

Project Management:

A project manager, also called a project leader, is a professional in the field of project management. He or she is a person who has responsibility for the planning, procurement, design, execution and control of a project. According to Google, project managers can earn $93,000 per year.

User experience (UX) design:

UX design stands for “user experience design,” while UI stands for “user interface design.” UX-UI designers are typically responsible for gathering, researching and evaluating user conditions. UX designers can earn $75,000 per year, according to Google.

How to apply:

To be considered for the offer, students should check Google’s official scholarship page when the application period opens.

Google has a partnership with Coursera, which is a paid online platform where the courses will be hosted. Applicants must first register through Coursera and enroll themselves. The monthly Coursera fees and the cost of certification will be covered by Google Scholarships.

As mentioned above, no degree or work experience is required. Students must be fluent in written and spoken English and have to submit some supporting documents such as a copy of the national identity card.

Duration of the scholarship:

The duration of the Certification is from 3 to 6 months.
